New to the list. These two people are my wish come true. David SMITH b. 1800 Wapping, London, was a convict, convicted of larceny and transported to New South Wales in 1818. David Smith is known, as the first white settler in Kiama, he was a cedar getter and, went on to become one of Kiama's respected citizens. His wife Ann DAVIS was also a convict. Ann DAVIS b. 1805 Aberystwyth, Wales, Ann was indicted for stealing in 1829 and arrived in New South Wales in 1830. David Smith and Ann Davis were married in 1832 their known children were: baptised Elizabeth Smith 1834, Mary Ann Smith 1834, William Charles Smith born 12 Dec 1836, and David Smith born 13 May1838.
