Extract from the "Kiama Independent" of May 28th, 1901 On Friday afternoon Mrs. William Weir, of Crooked River, and her daughter Maggie were driving to Foxground when their horse took fright and bolted, precipitating both from the vehicle near the bridge. Mrs. Weir had both ankles dislocated, and the daughter is suffering greatly from shock, but was not seriously injured.
