    3. Hello Everyone, Keeping my fingers crossed that I,m sending this mail correctly. I'm researching Samuel Wright (1818-1899). He arrived 1842 'Himalaya' with wife Elizabeth Smith (1819-1894) from Derbyshire (born Thursmaston LEI ENG). Settled at Yarrunga now Avoca, which is near Burrawang NSW. Their place/home was called 'The Sallies' . Children:- John Himalaya 1841-1901 m Suzanna Manns, William James 1845-1922 m Isobella Norman, Samuel c1845-1919 m Rebecca Mansfield, Mary c1848-1923 Joseph Paul Lawler, Ester 1849-1941 m Samuel Manns, Elizabeth c1850-1938 m David J Wotton, Joseph c 1854 ??, Martha 1857-1910 William James Lawler, Catherine 1858-1937 m Daniel Cunningham, James 1861-1937 m 1.Mary Ann Baxter 2.Mary Ann Winifred Burke. James was my GGrandfather. Some of the family stayed in the Bowral district and others moved to the north coast - sawyers. James worked in Berry early 1900's. He was a sawyer & timber mill ?owner). Owned a guest house Merrigang St Bowral 1915-1920.Owned land (?timber mill) Thirroul until 1930's. Samuel & Elizabeth were Christian Isralites "Beardies" and they christened some of their children in this religion. Does anyone have any information on this religion? The Children of James Wright & Mary Ann Winifred Burke are:- Darcy Braidwood 1890-196? m Gertrude Timbs, Elizabeth Mary 1892-197? m William Collis, Harold John 1894-1912, Phyllis Kathleen 1896-1940 m Phillip Patrick Lyons, Marie Madeline 1904-1984 m Michael F Costello. Harold was drowned, aged 18 years, in Broughton Creek Berry after playing a game of football. Any information on the timer mills (1900-1912) at Berry would be appreciated.
