Hello All, Yesterday I visited the Berry Historical Society Museum in Queen St, (Princes Highway) Berry, and enjoyed looking at all the exhibits about the local area in the many different rooms and backyard of the Museum. I purchased a book for $7.50 called "Historic Sites of Berry", which was written by Mary L. Lidbetter, and published by the Berry and District Historical Society Inc.(ISBN 0 9595386 1 5) The book mentions a Charles Robinson's butcher shop as existing prior to the 1890's in the town, and this reminded me of an earlier posting to the list about a Charles Robinson of Bulli. (Bulli is not too far away). Perhaps this might be a connection for the person who was trying to trace that Charles Robinson, perhaps not. I'm not sure how many Charles Robinson's were walking around in NSW at the time! ""Historic sites of Berry" has an excellent name index ( and I can empathise with John Graham's earlier sentiment - "why do people write books without indexes?!"), historic photographs and descriptions of places around the area. Also at the Museum is a folder within an alphabetical list of all names of people buried at the local cemetery. Niall Tangney Cronulla NSW
