    3. Hope you've all had a great Christmas! Additional information re the WOODHOUSE, CLAYTON and WYSE saga at Gunning, NSW comes from the Yass Courier, 19 December, 1857. It reported that in the Court of Petty Sessions for Thursday 17 December, that Walter WOODHOUSE, keeper of the Golden Fleece Inn, at Gunning [NSW] was charged with permitting unlicensed music and dancing on the premises on the 4 December, 1857. James WYSE appeared for the defendant giving evidence that it was a private party being held to celebrate the birth of one of the Woodhouse children. The case was dismissed. Does anyone have a local history of the Gunning district? If so, would you please be so kind as to check the index for any entries that may be relevant to the above.
