    3. David, >1. Mary Ellen TAYLOR b. Belfast Ire. c1831 m. Robert MILLER 1852 d. at >'Braeside' Gerringong 1919. Does anyoneknow of this property? Mea Culpa! After I sent my previous response to this message, I realised that the answer probably lay in my latest book, "MUNICIPALITY of GERRINGONG: Rolls of Electors and Ratepayers", and I was right. 1914: Mary Ellen MILLER owned a dwelling in Gerringong 1917: Mary Ellen MILLER owned "Braeside", in the Gerringong township. Alice M MILLER owned a house and land in the Main Road, Gerringong. 1920: Mary MILLER owned "Braeside", in the Gerringong township. Alice M MILLER owned a house and land in Main Road, Gerringong. 1928: Alice MILLER was the owner of "Braeside", in Bridges Road. 1934: "Braeside" is not listed. The dates are consistent - the 1920 roll was drawn up on November 25th, 1919 - one month before Mary's death. Alice died on March 6th, 1933, before the 1934 roll was compiled on October 2nd, 1934. So at least we now have a street where "Braeside" existed. Furthermore, we know it was the name of an individual dwelling, and not a farming property. Whether it still exists (under another name), or whether it has been demolished, I don't know. BTW, do you know the names of Mary Ellen's parents, and her shipping arrival details?
