I am currently researching and writing an archaeological biography of David Reid, son of Surgeon Lieutenant Dr. David Reid. Details of two properties held by Dr. David Reid are given in the 1828 Census. They are Inverary Park near Bungonia and Jemacabene {Jembaicumbene] approx 10 kilometres south of Braidwood near the junction of Jembaicumbene and Reidsdale Creeks. I would appreciate any information relating to the Reid family and these two properties. Persons listed in the 1828 Census as being employed by D. Reid, Jemicabene County of St. Vincent, include: William Lester, 22 years, CF per the Mariner 1823 Protestant, Overseer; Thomas Gillman, 27 years, G S, per the Asia 1825 for 14 years; Protestant; Dairyman; Hugh Cosgrove, 27 years; FS, per the Martha 1819 for 7 years; Protestant; Stockman; Edward McLaughlin, 26 years, GS per the M.
