Hello everyone I am seeking information on my great grandfathers family who was a resident in Araluen in the late 1850's to early 1860's. His occupation was an Brickmaker, but he may have been looking for gold because he seemed to move around to many goldfields. Any information would be greatly appreciated on the following family. John JONES born Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, SWL 1832, immigrated to Sydney in 1856. John married Mary MORGAN also born in MT. At Glebe in 1860. John and Mary must have returned to the Braidwood area because their first born son was born in Braidwood in late 1860. Children: Francis James JONES, b. 1860 Braidwood m. Florence J. WILLIAMS in 1864 at Waterloo. Fredrick Morgan JONES, b. 23 Nov 1862 Broulee, m. Katherine NELSON 1890 at Gunnedah. John T. JONES, b. 1864 Broulee m. Selina NELSON 1907 Gunnedah.
