I have a copy of the Kiama Independent, Tuesday, March 2, 1886. It lists an ancestor of mine under deaths 'McLelland - February 20th, at the residence of her grandson, Mr Robert McLelland, Broughton Creek, Mrs Sarah McLelland, aged 114 years' Can anyone shed any light onto Sarah's real age? she and her husband Robert immigrated on the "Wilson" and tried to lower their ages to collect the bounty due to younger and fitter people.
