Hi Vivienne and members, Unfortunately I don't think the John Joseph O'Neil Vivienne mentioned is one of mine. My 3xg grandmother was Margaret O'Neil who came from Ireland in circa 1838/39. There has never been any mention of her parents or other family members on any of the documents I have for her. Margaret married John McDermott in Wollongong in 1841 and the only lead I have for Margaret is that she may have been sponsored by Peter LARKIN who was the owner of the property Galloway Farm in Dapto. John McDermott was a convict worker on the Larkin property in 1841. I only wish I could find a whole mess of O'Neil's that I could call my own. :-) Best wishes, Terri BRYAN bryan@nor.com.au Yamba NSW Australia -----Original Message----- From: Vivienne Caldwell <viv@zip.com.au> To: AUS-NSW-SE-L@rootsweb.com <AUS-NSW-SE-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, 26 October 1998 6:37 Subject: O'NEIL >Hi everyone > >Terri Bryan mentioned O'Neil in Wollongong - I have a John Joseph O'Neil >who enlisted in WWI.
