    3. My husband is very distanly related to Jane MILLIGAN, dau of William & Mary Milligan who married James T. NETHERY in 1907. Hello Kerrie (and John Graham) For some years I have pondered over the will of my Great Uncle, John McBarron of Robertson, died 1897. He gave all his estate to "my adopted daughter Jane Milligan" and also directed Jane to "pay to Mary Milligan the sum of 10 pounds for services rendered". The mind boggles....however John died aged 66 and had been a widower for nearly two years at that time. There is, as yet, no other evidence I can find of the fates of Mary or Jane except that John McBarron and his wife had been childless. I now know Jane married James Nethery! John McBarron also directed that his will be managed by William Milligan as co-executor. Milligan was described as "Compositor of Sydney" - this brings another angle to my family as my father was found a job by Milligan at a printer's in Sydney where Milligan worked. What's it all mean? Is your husband's connection through Nethery or another name ? Curiosity is running wild....
