THORBURN; c. 1880 onwards; dairy farmer, Built Meroogal (historic house in Nowra), Mining entrpreneuer in the Shoalhaven and Braidwood districts, owned extensive coaching interests on the south coast, and eventually entered publishing in Sydney.
