Currawang is just SW of Goulburn, in the vicinity of Lake George. There was a Catholic cemetery in nearby Collector, NSW. But where would the parish church for the people of Currawang have been located? A child, later to be entered in the civil registration as Unnamed Girl Whelan, had been born in Currawang to Irish Catholic parents John and Mary Whelan in January 1865. While she lacks given names in her civil registration, she would have been accorded a name at the time of her baptism. But where's the church?
