Dear Listers, My ignorance of Australian geography is disgraceful and I apologise to all gentle readers before asking my question: I shall be driving from Canberra to Sydney on Monday week and would like to visit Araluen, my grandmother's birthplace in 1864. I cannot find the town on my maps. As you chortle over my lack of knowledge, please tell me if it is possible to detour to Araluen between Canberra and Sydney, or is it a long way off my route.
