Hello Colin I descend from William & Martha Cole, thru their son Frederick William. William & Martha emigrated to Sydney 1838. Samuel was Martha brother. Samuel along with his wife Martha Quinnell emigrated 1839, were in Braidwood for about 18 years & then went up to the Casino area, I am in touch with some of their descendants. The Reunion I am organising (July 2008) is for any descendants of William & Martha Cole nee Skinner, Samuel & Martha Skinner nee Quinnell, as well as 3 Skinner Nephews, Alfred & wife Jane Fowler (my husbands' line) George & wife Jane Brown, & Henry & wife Emily Austin. Hello Learned Listers I feel like I'm knocking my head against something hard (like many people doing research) but I'm looking for a little help with my JARMAN branch. I'm out on a limb?? I have Lydia Ann JARMAN born 1898 at Berry NSW (I have her details except where buried - Lydia is on my mother's side of the family) but her marriage to William BENN is the area I have trouble with. All I know for sure is they were married in 1923 at Marrickville - NSW BDMs. I thought I had the BENN family who, by the way, are buried in Rookwood with son William John BENN who was KIA in Belgium 1917.
