Hiya Everyone I am new to the list and i am wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem or have any info on it . I am in Queensland. I have a Thomas J March who married Mary Ann Noyes, Gundaroo. I can not find a death or birth for this person. He is believed to be the son of Thomas J March and Charlotte Thomeson Plummer but i have yet to prove this. Anyone who could give me any information on his parents i would greatly appreciate it. Just to make it a bit more interesting i will add that i have checked out the possibility of him being the son of Thomas and Charlotte. If he is, his birth is still a mystery. They were married in 1833 in England they came over to Australia on the ship Orantes arriving Sydney Cove 1838 . They had a daughter die on voyage but no listing of a son. They resided in Gundaroo NSW. But no listing of a son Thomas J being born. But in 1922 they have a son Thomas J as having died. So if anyone can figure this out. Let me know my email is [email protected] thanks heaps. Denise
Hi Marie, Sorry, there is no mention of him on p346 of this book (or in the index). It's a brilliant book, but not the sort of book where you find information about individuals; it's telling you where to find sources for all sorts of information & records. Are you sure you have the right book? Col. Jerricknora is a parish north east of Braidwood about 30 Km on the Nerriga Road.. It starts near the Tomboyne and lies between Mongarlow and the Corang River on the way to Nerriga. Jericknora Creek has a low lying bridge on the Nerriga Road that floods often. Jerricknora parish does not go far enough south to meet with Monga Jinglemoney is on the other side of Braidwood to the west. They are about 50 Km arpart and have nothing to do with one another. Hope this puts you out of your mysery:) Wade ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin Borrott-Maloney" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 22, 2004 12:47 AM Subject: JERRICKNORA Braidwood District > What a wild goose chase this has been. > Thanks to some help & a few clues I have narrowed the area down to, > the area to the south of Corang & north of Monga, to the east of Braidwood somewhere there. > I searched the Grevilles Directory & found the addresses from both these Post Office areas. > So somewhere in between lies JERRICKNORA. I have now found JERRICKNORRA Creek. Please note that both sets of " R " are double. This runs from the south of Corang & crosses the road between Braidwood & Nerriga, near the junction with Wog Wog Creek. Thanks for all the good people who have helped, I could not have guessed it was so difficult, but the answer is found. What a wild goose chase this has been. Thanks to some help & a few clues I have narrowed the area down to, the area to the south of Corang & north of Monga, to the east of Braidwood somewhere there. I searched the Grevilles Directory & found the addresses from both these Post Office areas. So somewhere in between lies JERRICKNORA. Not to be found on current maps I have searched ? Though it still eludes me, it is close by. If you can unlock the secret please put me out of my misery :-) Cheers Col
