I believe this is correct but is not confirmed. Their family included Enid, Joan, June, Thomas, William, Kenneth & Ann. I think they lived in Sydney. Maude was my grandfathers sister. Hi Vicki, I don't know the parent's names, they are not mentioned on the marriage certificate. Apparently Sarah was a spinster and a surveyor's daughter. No ages given, so no guesstimate of birth year. Thanks for your input. Cheers, Warren
Hi Vicki, I'm thinking that I may have to get the 1942 registration although I can't get the parent's names to fit, and Sarah would have to have been 90-100 years old. It seems as though Edward and Sarah must have split up, as they are living in different places as indicated by the 1903 Electoral Roll (thanks to Jenny Chester). Regards, Warren
Hi Neville, That is wonderful. Alexander Spence Artis is my great-great grandfather. I was not aware of these transactions, so thank you so much for sending them. Alexander Spence Artis acquired allotments 13 & 14 from Isabella Bridget Vereker in the 1890s and sold block 565 to A, Ballentine on 10th June, 1895. A. Ballentine sold block 651 to Anne Artis on 10th June, 1899. Andrew Ballentine had, in 1892, sold block 494 to A. A. Artis. On 21st November, 1902 Mrs A. Hi Listers, The above couple were married in Shoalhaven in 1871. I am tyring to determine what happened to Sarah, as she does not seem to have had any children with Edward and I can't find a death registration for her. Edward died in Parramatta in 1915. Kind regards, Warren Diggins
Thanks Neville, I have the BDM's on all of these and am looking for any family connections.
