    3. Hello — a little late, sorry — to all. Just following up on this posting by Dianne, and the earlier one by Leith Davis; I agree!!! Over the years I also have received wonderful assistance from both John and Jo. THANK YOU BOTH. John: I was aware of your Gerringong Historical Society web-page. BUT … I am wondering if you might have lots of your valuable information available online at any other sites as well please? For example, Leith mentioned your researches on The Big Scrub. Best wishes. ray in oz — who finally followed your lead and migrated north to warmer weather, and have never regretted it! =========================================================================== > On 11 Feb 2020, at 11:12 am, dianne … wrote: > > Hello John, > > I would like to thank you for the enormous help you have given me and to the list over these years. 3. I have just been given a photo of W.J. Cooke of Ireland, cousin of William Cooke of Kiama and Alstonville. Are there any descendants still on this list, of William Cooke, husband of Mary Ann King? William was born on 21 Aug 1831 in Kilmore, County Armagh, Ireland and he died in Nov 1918 in Alstonville. He immigrated to Sydney/Kiama on the ship Matoaka on the 19th May 1855. I would be happy to email a copy of this Irish photo c.1900 + to any interested connection. Carole Elliott.

    3. In checking Electoral Rolls, she was living with a John Wilson in the 1968 Roll - Going back to Redcliffe Cemetery, there is a John Alexander Wilson buried in the adjoining plot - date of death 7 Nov 1975. https://eservices.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/ePathway/production/Web/GeneralEnqui ry/EnquiryDetailView.aspx?Id=7994 You could trace them back through Electoral Rolls if you want to get an approximate date of when they were married. 3. Hi Lee Herbert's wife, Alethea Vivian [nee CULLEN] died in Brisbane in 1979. As Herbert died in 1955, she was free to re-marry and appears to have married someone called ? Wilson as that is her surname at the time of her death. She was still known as Mrs H Boniface at the time of the death of her own mother in 1954 but by the time of Herbert's death in 1955, there is no mention of her. Unfortunately, Qld marriages only go as far as 1943 so unable to check the name of her new husband. She is buried in Redcliffe Cemetery, date of death 9 Feb 1979, date of service 14 Feb 1979. https://eservices.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/ePathway/production/Web/GeneralEnqui ry/EnquiryDetailView.aspx?Id=7104 There is a link to the headstone photo on the site - nothing in regard to husband.
