Hi Pamela, There is a booklet called "Boggabri -the story of our town" 1957 with the latest reprint 1995. I purchased a copy ($10) during a visit to Boggabri in 2001 . Ellen EATHER of 112 Walter Street, Boggabri is involved with the Local history of Boggabri and I am sure she could send you a copy if you wrote to her. There is another booklet about the public school -"Boggabri Public School - Centenary of Education 1873-1973" Looking through the Boggabri book , there is mention of the Sacred Heart Convent School "The present fine new school buildings were opened on Feb 7th 1965 by the Rt. Reverend E.J. DOODY Bishop of Armidale. Father J. MARON being Parish priest. Architect for the school was J.P.GANNON and builders, E. MORAN Pty. Ltd." In the section 'CHURCHES' -"In 1910, St. Joseph's convent was built and the Sisters of St. Joseph took up residence in 1911. The wooden church now did service as as a church-school. Boggabri was visited twice weekly from Gunnedah by Father WALSH, Father KEANE or Father MCDERMOTT." At first glance I can see no other mention of the Catholic school but will have a closer look. There is no index. There is a school photo in the Public school book 2nd and 3rd grades 1939 "M.MCGINNITY". This name also appears on the photo of 3rd and 4th grades 1937. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance Marilyn PS. Boggabri Cemetery transcriptions http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/baker1865/Host%20Site%20-%20BDM/boggabri_burial s.htm
