Hi Listers, Looking through the Sydney Morning Herald 1854 I found some interesting items about St Marys. I thought I would share them with you all. SMH 10 February 1854 St Mary's South Creek - For Sale - The "Harp of Erin" Inn and premises, situate at St Mary's, doing a good business. The house is brick-built, almost new, and of the best materials, containing seven rooms, with a detached kitchen, and a stable for six horses - fronts the main street extending back to the creek, with an average depth of three hundred feet, and has an inexhaustible supply of running water. The garden is trenched, and contains some choice fruit trees: the soil is fertile. Also for sale, a cottage and allotment of ground adjoining the above inn. For particulars apply to Messrs. Brenan and Russell, Solicitors, 77, King-street, Sydney. SMH 31 January 1854. St Mary's Choral Society - The first Concert of the present year to be given by this society will take place in the Hall of St Mary's Seminary, on Monday, the 6th of February, 1854. Conductor : L Nathan Esq. A programme followed and ticketing information. No names of the participants. This society must have been of interest to the subscriber as the item was marked by pen in the newspaper. Regards Kris Wood
