Hello Listers, I am newly subscribed and so I should offer something about our interests. Our particular family research is divided among various family researchers around the world. Each is given a particular time period or section of a family. Our earliest ancestor in direct line is one Albert Leroy (de Machi) 1177, Normandie, France. Most of our ancestors are in Europe, however one Leroy of our line wandered off to Australia. Mining in Gulgong in the 1870's which began our Australian family. To do with this list is that my Grandfather was for a short time the Headmaster of the 'BullRidge Public School' (I beleive that it was near Springwood, NSW) in the early 1900's. Perhaps of even more interest is the line from my mother. My Grandmother was a PEAKER / ROWBOTHAM, Great Grandmother was Caroline BUTTERWORTH, GG Grandmother Keturah WOODS. Her mother Sarah Mary STUBBS / Thomas YARWOOD (WOODS) Sarah Mary was a daughter of William STUBBS married to Sarah WINGATE whose second husband was James PAINTER.
