    3. To: AUS-NSW-PENRITH-L Hello All, There is a notice in the paper which will be of interest if you haven't seen it: It announces the death of Rev. Gloster Stuart Udy MBE ("Doc") who was in charge of local aspect of the Upper Room evangelical organisation and of the old (and restored) Methodist church and graveyard, and new conference centre, also called the "Sacred Acre" at Castlereagh ,,,, This is one piece of old Castlereagh which is most definitely sacred-forever against being quarried away, and is no doubt very well know to many who are getting this list mail. It appears that Rev. Udy choose to be interred at Castlereagh, into which area I'm sure he must have ploughed so much of his energy and devotion (I have never met him myself and was just getting into email with him, and had received one reply, generally on the theme of the graveyard there and about the cost of hiring the hall at the sacred acre, now called the Upper Room Academy, for a family reunion). I was suprised to see of his death and the notice says that he died "suddenly" at his home, on May 4th, aged 84. He will be buried at upper Castlereagh at 3 p.m. on Monday 12th May, following a service to start at 11 a.m. at West Dundas Uniting Church in Kissing Point Road, Dundas.
