Hi, I have just subscribed to this list and would like to list my interests which are- My main interest is Bruce of which our original ancestor was James Bruce a convict who came to Australia in 1831 aboard the Surry and was assigned to AK Mackenzie on Dockairn at Kelso/Bathurst. His 5 children were James (jnr) Henry, Ellen (married Archer) George William and Robert. James Snr is buried at Holy Trinity Kelso, James (Jnr) is buried at Bowenfels, Henry is buried at Dubbo after living at Kelso, Penrith/Emu Plains, and Hartley as well as Dubbo and Ellen is buried at Denham Court, George Wiilliam is buried at Rookwood but spent most of his life in the Pyramul/Windeyer area and Robert is also buried in Rookwood after spending his life following the gold fields of southern NSW. He lived quite a while in Temora. George William had a daughter Sarah Ann Philomena Bruce who married a George Henry Williams, they had a large family of 11 children including- Milddred Elizabeth, Horace, Ronald Bruce, George, Lewis, Solomon, Fanny, Mary, Douglas, Esther and Eileen. George & Sarah were married in 1896 at Mudgee. Quite a few of the family lived in the Lithgow area. Mantell family is Henry Joseph Mantell married Mary Jane Bruce at Mudgee in 1898 and had Henry Bruce, Arthur Joseph, Hilda May and Murvis Mabel.
