Dear God WOD, I was disheartened at the lack of Zimbabwean representation at the Remembrance Day ceremony held at Memory Park yesterday. After all many of our WW 2 aircrew trained in that august setting during WW2. I was particularly disheartened to note the lack of any good knobkerrie in sight after telling my colleagues about its mystical powers! While I know there were other magnificent specimens of stick in attendance, they are just pale imitations! It was such a shock to my system that I had to retire to the safe haven at the Penrith RSL and fortify myself! I trust that in future years, the good honour and reputation of Zimbabwe will be restored by the appearance of your good self at this auspicious occasion. I will now retire to read the Customs of the RAAF to see whether there is a precedent on matters such as this. Yours humbly Jan H
Dear Jan and Peter, not sure what "weed" you are on but I want some. Please explain? This was so refreshing that I actually laughed and I'm pretty darn pleased the list received it in err but a few things need explaining to the mere layman like me - what pray tell is a "stick" and "knobkerrie" for as a keen family historian I may need this information for future reference. C'mon Jan, don't be shy? Please tell.
