Hi List members A general question about cemeteries. I am involved with the Kilmore and District Historical Society. Recently we have been looking at the plans of the Kilmore General Cemetery and it includes a hospital section. Then looking at the mid 1800s hospital minute books it seems that where a patient is admitted without any means of support and then dies, the Hospital paid for the burial in the hospital section of the cemetery. Question - was this a general practice in those days and do any of the general cemeteries in the Penrith area have a section for the hospital???? Grahame Thom
