Re: what Ned wrote: Hello, Eeer, maybe I misunderstand this(?), but if not, then maybe I know some of the answer here? Basically, I think it's to do with what email lists are created for. "Is there any way to stop getting emails that are for other members on the list?????" Yes, of course, seeing that they say one can "do anything" with computers .. but would you really 'WANT' to do that, because distributing/sharing others peoples' business is the raison d'etre behind most mailing lists [esp. if they are something of the more chatty variety .. otherwise they would just be unilateral, one-way-stream affairs, consisting of some authority or another merrily churning out announcements and facts and stuff for consumption by an unseen and unresponding audience. And it is true that there are some purely-distributive lists like that in existence, which do not allow members to cross-communicate, i.e. they are not party-line lists. But those sorts of lists are quite uncommon and not the norm]. If I guess right, the people/emails being referred to could have chosen instead to have been off-list answers back to Danielle to get the materials on offer about Castlereagh (assuming that is what's being referred to?). But the practice of people just hitting the 'reply' key and answering/talking back on via the list is commonplace too, and doesn't worry me at all. In fact I like to see that lists are "alive" because so many you join turn out to be quite moribund and only spurt into a bit of life once or twice a year. As for worrying about distributing personal addresses to all on the list, eeeer Ned, I hate to say it but it seems to me that you have just sent everyone on the list your own address !? Mine by the way is PO Box 264, Summer Hill 2130 and I do love to hear about good old Castlereagh .. best little river flat this side of the Blue Mountains. But I'm extremely biassed, I will admit that much, as I regard Castlereagh as the virtual "seat" of the Australian branch of our family. Cheers, John (a.k.a.
