I do apologise to everyone on the list for unwittingly causing this ruckus. I clicked reply to the list and not to Danielle's address. But I also do not agree that keeping replies to family history matters off the list is essential. These list messages attract new members of the list. You would be surprised at how many people go through the archives of the list to find clues to their ancestors. It is fair enough after the first contact to continue corresponding off the list but I enjoy reading who is researching what and if there is a query to see if anyone replied to it. Also if the incoming email is getting too much for you, try subscribing to the digest. You will only receive one email a day with all the messages posted that day. The RootsWeb Review 26 Feb 2003 Vol 6 No 9 has an article about Rootsweb Mailing lists which may be of help to people. I don't know how I started getting the RootsWeb Review but it is interesting to read even though most things are in America. Thank you for your forebearance and I apologise to Danielle too.
