Hi Everyone I have just finished transcribing the Penrith Roll of Honour at Memory Park for WW1 soldiers. Where possible, I have given the full name and not just the initials of the first names. If you have a relative listed and can give the full name or some details (they can be returned soldiers) of your ancestry, please email me with the details. G'day Jan & Peter, I have relatives on the Roll and would be love to be able to give you their names. But seeing it is about 40+ years since I saw the Roll I can't remember who is on it. Is it (The Honour Roll) available for me to have a look at. Also there is a page somewhere at the War Memorial site that gives the names of all WW1 Diggers (as well as a new one for WW2), this may also help you as a lot of the old families have left the town or have dies out. Hi Jan and Peter, are you aware that a book has already been published on the Memory Park memorials. The Penrith RSL was giving it away free at a conference I went to last year. Ask Lorraine Stacker at Penrith Library about it, as the Library has a site for WW1 veterans. Hi Jan, Well done on your efforts transcribing these names and putting them online. Just taking a look at the Penrith Roll of Honour (http://www.penrithcity.nsw.gov.au/history/war/memorials/penhonroll.htm), I am curious about one of the nurses, a M KELLETT. Any idea who this is? I have searched the AIF Nominal Roll and the only KELLETT nurse I can find is Adelaide Maud KELLETT. There was a M KELLETT who recieved and honour/award (refer to AWM site): KELLETT, M, Sister, AANS (Australian Army Nursing Service), Mention in Dispatches. Is this this the Penrith M KELLETT I wonder?
