Well I am a member of: * Byrnes and Irish study group. * Castlereagh study group. Both these groups are very (meaning very-very) tiny. But we hope to be optimistic and grow to a bit bigger size. Anybody is welcome to join (just email your particulars). Castlereagh study group is geared to anything and everything to do with Castlereagh, both history and prehistory. Anybody interested in this please contact me by email directly as I'd love to hear from you. One initial interest is to exchange references, and build as comprehensive as possibly a reference list or bibliography to Castlereagh. The Byrnes line I am interested in is that of David (Burns) and Ann (Reffin) who lie at rest up on the terrace above Castlereagh flats, in the Anglican cemeterery. David arrived in Sydney in 1800. Ann arrived in 1804. We would like to join with other Nepean family people (by potentially many names - Jackon, Harris, Wilkinson, Sheens, Curry, etc.) who trace back to Ann Reffin ~ to celebrate the occasion of her arrival. Also, it is characteristic of me that I tend to lose things a fair bit, and I have currently lost the email address of the Cranebrook history group ~ whence I would appreciate it if someoine could give me that please. I am a geologist and also have been doing social and political science in later years at Uni of NSW, Kensington (night time only). Kind Regards, John Byrnes
