    3. Hi I am looking for any info on my GGG Grandfather Thomas Shadlow born about 1801 married to Louisa ( Lucy) Randall 1823 at Castlereagh NSW. I would like to get some info on his convict background as well as his life after he arrived in NSW. Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks in advance Karen

    3. Very very briefly, the story I have(but have not proven) is that Thomas Shadlow born 1899 Nottinghamshire arrived on the Baring 2 in 1819 after being sentenced to 7 years transportation at Leicester Assizes. He married Lucy Randall and (I was told) had 7 children. Yes, Thomas' son George married Rachel Lees, descendant of John Lees through his son Cornelius. Thomas and Lucy's Susannah and Mary Ann Shadlow married Robert and William Curry respectively, that I do know. As far as I know, the Shadlow family and at least some of the Curry family lived at Eastern Creek. I trust that you received more and better information from sources other than me. 3. Hi Pat You are quite correct. Thomas Shadlow and his wife lived in the Nepean area. There is a Shadlow Cres named after him in St Clair. He also appears in the Pioneer Register. I am attached to Thomas via his daughter Eliza who married William Ransley (there is also a Ransley St in Penrith) Regards Karen -----Original Message----- From: Pat Curry [mailto:patriciacurry@bigpond.com] Sent: Thursday, 13 May 2004 5:02 PM To: AUS-NSW-PENRITH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [AUS-NSW-PENRITH] Thomas Shadlow Very very briefly, the story I have(but have not proven) is that Thomas Shadlow born 1899 Nottinghamshire arrived on the Baring 2 in 1819 after being sentenced to 7 years transportation at Leicester Assizes.
