    3. Hi Pat Thanks so much! That certainly sounds like my Wedesweiler's. I know Johan Jnr and his brothers Jacob and Francis were in the Camden area when they were adults. Jacob & Francis were buiders and built the St Johns Anglican Parish Hall at Camden among other things. I would love it if you could for some more info. Someone has sent me a "plan" of where they lived but it is really hard to see. I bet this is the place! Could you please tell me where I might be able to get a copy of the map? Thanks HEAPS!!!!! The Wedesweiler family were indeed living in Mulgoa Forest/Silverdale area, on an adjacent block to my great-grandfather William John Gibson. In fact, I have a photo of the Gibson family, animals-and-drays-"team", (they were timbermen), with the drays loaded with Wedesweiler family goods on the day theywere moving from Silverdale. Since some of my Gibson family from that area are still alive, I could perhaps ask them when that was and maybe if they knew where they went to. An early map I have shows Joseph Wedesweiler's land as 43 acres, with Silverdale Road through the Eastern side of it. It is not very far from Silverdale Public School - that land was donated/sold by the Gibson family around 1890. Pat Curry Mulgoa Forest was re-named Silverdale about 1890, supposedly because a resident Lloyd Williams, wrote to the government asking for the name to be changed to Silverdale, after a similar area in England. I have also heard that that story is not true. -----Original Message----- From: Karen Mulvey [mailto:karen@spreadtheword.com.au] Sent: Friday, 14 May 2004 4:22 PM To: AUS-NSW-PENRITH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-NSW-PENRITH] WEDESWEILER Hi I am trying to track down where Johann Joseph Wedesweiler lived. He arrived in 1855 from Germany. All his younger children were born in the Mulgoa Forest area. I think he may have lived in Silverdale in the late 1880's - 1900.
