Would anyone be researching the Holmes family of St. Mary's? John Holmes married Mary Williams Sofala N.S.W. 1866. John Holmes died 16/7/1920 aged 77yrs at St. Mary's. Mary Holmes (nee Williams) died 26/10/1919 at St. Mary's. Both are buried in the Presbyterian Section at St. Mary's. Daughters in the area were Frances A. married to Algred G. Greenstreet and Lilly Elizabeth married to Robert J. Millen. I am trying to establish the parentage for John Holmes as it would seem incorrect details were given on his marriage certificate.
