Hi, I am looking for information on a John Williams who came from England in 1876. He was at that stage in the army. Apparently, when he retired from the army, he became a hotel owner in Armidale. I have always been told it was the Tattersalls Hotel. He would have been the proprietor around about the 1900's. However I know he died around that time and wondered whether the story was confused and if it was his wife Bridgette, who remarried, who helped run the hotel.
