Hi everyone, I have had quite a few queries on the name of the book, it is Flight to the Southland. It is a true story and documents the life of Ebenezer Keats and Sarah Davenport(from the famous chinaware dynasty) who came to Australia. Ebenzer was involved in many ventures from master mariner through to cedar getting. He and Sarah even formed an early school for young ladies in the Inverell(from memory) area. He was a close associate of Francois and Mary Girard. Warren mentions many of the historical things that occurred in that time and has researched the information thoroughly. Warren received the order of Australia for forming the Lower Tweed Heads Historical Society. The book rang a bell with me because my family all came from Casino, Lismore and Grafton areas, so I was fascinated to find that he had my uncle's (Girard) line in his book, it is truly a small world. He also mentions many of the things that occurred globally through that time. I think he was a History teacher before he started writing. I am not sure where the book can be purchased but I can email him and ask if anybody is interested. I didnt name the book in the beginning because I wasnt sure it was within the rules of the list. Best regards Maureen
