Dear Beryl, The Verge Estate was located on the banks of the Macleay River adjacent to Gladstone, Smithtown, Kempsey and Frederickton wharves. Kempsey railway and town was six miles from the property. The auction for the Austral Eden farms were for sale by auction 23rd March 1918 when 67 lots were being sold and there were other auctions between 1917 and 1920's. The area is to the west of where the Belmore River meets the Macleay River. Hope the above gives you some idea of where the area was.
