    3. Hi All, I have reached a dead end with my BOGLE line and have been trying to find links between her family and the DORROUGHs and the ALCORNs as my grandmother had maintained that her grandmother, Eliza Jane BOGLE (born in abt 1851 in Strabane, County Tyrone) migrated to Australia in abt 1864 to live with relatives - the ALCORNS and DORROUGHS. I am uncertain how Eliza ties into these families but a Martha Jane BOGLE, born in abt 1801 in Strabane, Co. Tyrone and daughter of James BOGLE and Martha HAZELTON married a Matthew DORROUGH in 1828 in Strabane. Martha and Matthew had at least 5 children: James, John, Margaret, Matilda and Elizabeth and emigrated to Australia sometime prior to 1864. The eldest son, James married a Mary Ann ALCORN in N.S.W., Australia in 1864. Furthermore, consent was given for Eliza's marriage to William Charles SHACKEL by Matthew DORROUGH, noted as her guardian since she was under the age of 21. This marriage took place at Mr William ALCORN's Foxground in Kiama. I have run out of clues. I had thought I would find that Martha Jane BOGLE was the sister of Andrew BOGLE (Eliza Jane's father) but nothing suggests this. The DORROUGHs and SHACKEL/LLs moved north to around Murwillumbah, Lismore, Bangalow areas. Names associated with these families around this area are RICE, COOK, SHARMAN, SPEER, and WINDLEY. If anyone is researching these families, I would love to hear from you. Julie Ruzsicska [email protected] http://www.netspace.net.au/~ruzoz/
