Hi everyone, I have joined this particular list to see if I can trace an elusive grandparent - she was supposedly an illegitimate child born to a Margaret CROSS at Spencers Gully, Inverell, on 15 November 1892, and was named Ethel May. There was no mention of a father. We can find no birth for her (and no marriage either, but that's another story!), and have looked in New South Wales and Queensland for this. I don't think she would have been born in another state, but nothing is impossible, I guess. I have also checked the Tasmanian and W.A. indexes on the AVR.
