Hi I noticed I haven't received any Norco Mail lately, am I still on the lis? Does anybody know how or where I could check shipping details for ships coming into the Clarence? I have been told that the Rediger family lived in Albury for five years, then travelled up to Grafton on the "Heleneckle" and I would like to verify this somehow. Would they have sailed from Melbourne? Jennie Rediger [email protected]
Hi Jennie, I have been looking at coastal shipping lately, but have found it difficult. The only passengers mentioned are those in first class cabins. Others are mentioned as '12 in steerage' for example. I am interested in the schooner 'Alpha' which sailed from Melbourne to the Richmond River in 1867, for the cedar trade, but so far no luck on details.
