As with most posters here I am researching my family. There are two strands that I am completely lost with. All I know is that both families came from Lismore. The first family I seek is that of Emma Maxwell...I believe she was born in 1855 at Richmond River. She married a James Brown in 1861 and had a number of children. Her parents may well have been James Maxwell and Eliza Atkinson. The second person (and as it turns out in nearly all cases) the most important one is a lady whose name was Rebecca Harris. She had a relationship with a Christopher Marriott. I can find no trace of any of her birth, death or marriage. Electoral rolls show a Rebecca Marriott as living in North Lismore between 1909 and 1917. I would be most grateful if anyone can throw any light at all on either of the above families.
