Hi I noticed that some of you were looking for old church records. Rather than spend a fortune using BDM's or transcription agents for these records - The State Library has them on the shelf and for about a $1-00 you can get a copy of the whole page of the register or just the entry you want. I guess if they have them available, other institutions would also have them on film. SAG in Kent St Sydney have them but won't let you make a copy. You could also trty the LDS as they often have these films as well. While I am on this subject. All Tasmanian Registers are available at the State Library and the same applies. Just load the film on the printer and get full copies of the entries which in the case of births, actually has the signature of the person registering the birth. Hope this helps Frances
