Dear Listers, Does anyone know of any buildings built by the above in the Manning or North Coast Districts? He was born in 1858 at Cundletown (died 1938 Hornsby) and I think he built the Cundletown wharf as well as the Woolgoolga Jetty. CB's father was also a builder - William John Wallace SMITH (1824-1898), who I think built the Taree Methodist Church, Taree Courthouse, Crowdy Head lighthouse amongst other things. I am looking for confirmation that the constructions mentioned were in fact built by the SMITHS, and also if any more of their efforts is known. Does anyone know who built the Trial Bay Gaol? With thanks, Jenny Nancarrow (a SMITH descendant)
Macleay Valley Historical Society should have the details of consrtruction.
