Albert Simpson, was the first husband of Martha > E Rediger/Simpson/Simmons. From: Glenreagh - A Town of Promise by Elizabeth Webb (1998) page 22. "...........Bert Simpson married Martha Rediger, and they built a house south of that of their parents' home on the rise that overlooked the farm. When his parents bought the property south of Glenreagh on the Nana Glen road, Bert bought the adjoining property (now known as Howlett's). Bert and Martha had no children. He died in 1927. Martha later married Steve Simmonds, who was an engine driver on the Dorrigo railway. In the early 1930's this property was planted with Tung Oil trees as an experiment, it proved unsuccessful."
