This book is a great publication, & is still available (at a very reasonable price) from the Maclean District Historical Society - their contact details are available on website: http://www.bri.net.au/~macleanhistory/index.html The Society also has extensive info on the DAVIS family (I don't know if it is Charles DAVIS family).
