    1. [NORCO] Ships to the Clarence
    2. Kerry Bugden
    3. Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can give me some information or point me in the right direction. The female members of the Bugden family traveled from the Hunter to Grafton in 1870/1871 to join the men of the family who had traveled overland. These family members would have included Margaret Bugden, Leonora Bugden, Ellen and Mary Lulham and numerous children. I would like to know what ship they travelled on an if there was a passenger list. Thank you for any help you can give me. Kerry Bugden

    3. Dear Kerry, Records were kept of ships entering and leaving different ports, and if they survived they are held by State Records KINGSWOOD. Try www.records.nsw.gov.au to see what listings they have. I have inspected some shipping lists that do not necessarily name each passenger. Some just have 6 steerage passengers or Mr & Mrs Smith and four children etc. Sincerely,Bill > Hi everyone, > I am hoping someone can give me some information or point me in the right > direction. > > The female members of the Bugden family traveled from the Hunter to > Grafton > in 1870/1871 to join the men of the family who had traveled overland.

    3. hello Kerry, I don't know if this will help but I have a book called "North Coast Run' The Men and Ships of the NSW North Coast by Mike Richards. There are many ships named in this book as well as shipping companies, but not passengers. It may help to have a look at Rod Gow"s Index at a library as they sometimes give the name of people travelling along the coast. Hope this helps Sandra ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kerry Bugden" <kbbugden@ozemail.com.au> To: <AUS-NSW-NORCO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 17, 2006 12:46 PM Subject: [NORCO] Ships to the Clarence > > Hi everyone, > I am hoping someone can give me some information or point me in the right > direction. > > The female members of the Bugden family traveled from the Hunter to > Grafton > in 1870/1871 to join the men of the family who had traveled overland. > These family members would have included Margaret Bugden, Leonora Bugden, > Ellen and Mary Lulham and numerous children. > I would like to know what ship they travelled on an if there was a > passenger > list. > > Thank you for any help you can give me. > > Kerry Bugden > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > AUS-NSW-NORCO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message
