I would be very interested in contacting descendants of the above couple. Thomas HILDEBRAND was apparently born in Ireland in about 1805, I have no record of his life in Ireland and found him here in Australia in 1840 when he married Eliza Kennedy in July 1840. (not many details on his marriage certificate), After he was married Thomas was appointed as Chief Constable of the Sydney police force before being transferred to the Picton / Camden areas of New South Wales. On one of his transfer papers he stated that he arrived on the sailing ship "Premier" and that he had been in the Irish Constabulary for nine years. I have searched the shipping without any luck and have had a man in Ireland search the Irish Constabulary records again without any luck. On Thomas death certificate it states his father was William HILDEBRAND mother unknown. I have information of his time here in Australia up until his death but would love to find out more about him prior to his arrival and if he had any other family brothers or sisters.
