    1. Thomas HILDEBRAND and Eliza KENNEDY
    2. Tracie King
    3. I would be very interested in contacting descendants of the above couple. Thomas HILDEBRAND was apparently born in Ireland in about 1805, I have no record of his life in Ireland and found him here in Australia in 1840 when he married Eliza Kennedy in July 1840. (not many details on his marriage certificate), After he was married Thomas was appointed as Chief Constable of the Sydney police force before being transferred to the Picton / Camden areas of New South Wales. On one of his transfer papers he stated that he arrived on the sailing ship "Premier" and that he had been in the Irish Constabulary for nine years. I have searched the shipping without any luck and have had a man in Ireland search the Irish Constabulary records again without any luck. On Thomas death certificate it states his father was William HILDEBRAND mother unknown. I have information of his time here in Australia up until his death but would love to find out more about him prior to his arrival and if he had any other family brothers or sisters. Any suggestions please help. T.I.A Tracie King

    1. Info on Cemetery Records, please
    2. Allie R
    3. Hi Listers, Would someone please be able to tell me where I might find info on 2 people named A.VAGNE buried in the Memorial Gardens East Lismore (Presbyterian Section) - according to the online cemetery list? Both are buried in the same plot dates of death - 9/10/1915 and 10/7/1931. The funeral director was William Riley. Unfortunately they died too early to be included in the online William Riley's listing. And if the earlier edition is available can anyone please tell me what personal information is available in the funeral director's records? Are relatives names included etc? Has anyone access to the local papers for this period - perhaps there's an obit. I would appreciate any bit of help I can get. Thank you. Good luck with your searches, Allie Queensland _________________________________________________________________ SEEK: Over 80,000 jobs across all industries at Australia's #1 job site. http://ninemsn.seek.com.au?hotmail

    1. James GOODWIN?
    2. Leigh
    3. Is there anyone researching these families from the Nambucca region? I have interest in James Goodwin and Margaret nee McDermott, who relocated with their first three children from the Illawarra, firstly to the Macleay area and then to the Nambucca area. They had 12 children altogether and I'm descended from their youngest daughter. I don't know much about James Goodwin at all, except that he was working as a farmer in Bowraville in 1872 according to Grevilled PO directory. If anyone has any information on where he was born and parents/siblings, I'd be most interested. Leigh

    1. Ryerson Indexer wanted - "Manning River Times"
    2. John Graham
    3. The Ryerson Index has included Taree's "Manning River Times" since September 2002. Our current indexer is retiring due to family health problems, and we are looking for someone to take over. The paper is published Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday each week, and while we would prefer to have an indexer who lives locally and can index from the printed paper, we will also accept an indexer from out of the area who can index from the website, if no local indexer is available. The number of notices is not large - 10 minutes per day for the three days would more than cover the requirements. If you are interested, please contact me off-list. John Graham Sydney DPS

    3. Hi fellow Listers. Just come across this list for Northern NSW. I have the FAULKS family in my research. John FAULKS, married twice. Firstly to Ann ATTWELL & then Jane LEYTHORN. There descendants eventually spread over the Lismore, Ballina, Coutts Crossing, Grafton & Murwillumbah areas & another line settled on the South Coast. I really look forward to hearing from anyone with this huge family as part of their research. Julie.
