Hi everyone, I was wondering if anybody on the list is going to the Richmond River Historical Society in the next few days, if so I was wondering if they could do a quick look up for me, I will explain more off the list. Best regards Maureen
Hi everyone, I live in Qld, I phoned the Society the other day and they told me there was information on Neils Peter Anderson aka Captain Peter Anderson in their holdings, they wouldnt tell me if there was much there, we had sent some time back a couple of pages to them. I was wondering if there is anybody on the list going there that would be able to have a look for me and let me know if there is much on him. We are only too happy to pay for the information but not if it is what we have already given them. Best regards Maureen

I am researching an Anne McNally (1846-1924) and her husband James Maher (1848-1934) married 1868 Macleay River, NSW. Is anyone researchibg this couple or their descendants? I want some more details on James Maher's parents. I thought I would check before I start ordering transcripts. My wish list of certificates and transcripts is longer than my current finances allow. HI all, or at least all whose isp or spam rejector doesn't reject this. There are large numbers of rejects at the moment, some by spamcop, some by other ISP's. Any message you sent in the last few days you might want to repeat. Cheers Paul NORCO list admin
Hi Listers, Anyone on this list researching Temple or Ryan families originally Casino/Lismore area. Ellen Temple married Denis Ryan 1903 - had 5 children and about 1915 Ellen disappeared without trace. We feel there may have been more children born to Ellen. Any clues? Would appreciate the tiniest snippet of information about Ellen Agnes Temple, or Agnes Ellen Temple. Cheers, Thea.

Reg- The book "Maclean: the First Fifty Years 1862-1912" by E.H. McSwan does have details on your Charles DAVIS; no mention of W & E JOHNSON. This book is a great publication, & is still available (at a very reasonable price) from the Maclean District Historical Society - their contact details are available on website: http://www.bri.net.au/~macleanhistory/index.html The Society also has extensive info on the DAVIS family (I don't know if it is Charles DAVIS family). In summary from E.H. McSwan's book, your Charles DAVIS - carpenter, son of John & Johannah DAVIS, born 1868, Woodford Island, married Edith Clarence JOHNSON 1900; 6 children. Rod- Regarding the name FIRTH in Tucabia area, there is a road there, named Firth Heinz Rd. On NSWBDM I found the following birth, would have to purchase cert to be sure: reg. 9104/1860 BAILEY WILLIAM father - no mention, Mother ELIZABETH born MORPETH Morpeth is near Maitland. This birth would fit if William died aged 71, BDM list the death of a William Bailey 1931 in Grafton aged 71, no parents mentioned. There is information on Rootsweb regarding Sarah, but only mentions she married William Bailey, more her family than his.
