The majority of these people are from the NSW North Coast area (including my shared GGGrandparents Bernard O'DOHERTY & Sarah CARNEY). I would love to get in contact and swap research notes. She was born in Inverness Scotland in 1828, arrived in Sydney 1839 per Asia, married 1844 at Dungog NSW. She died on the 15.12.1910 and was buried at Bexhill Cemetery near Lismore.     3. Dear MargM, It is probable that a death from Evans Head would be registered at Casino. Casino and Evans Head are associated in many ways including the same local government area. Hi Lyn Its a persons place of residence that is in the NSW Probate index , not place of death This is what caused my query as in the Probate index it has Evans Head as place of residence , in the BDMs his death registered at Casino . I wondered why it wasnt Lismore but apparently Casino is the rego area name If someone died at Lane Cove their death would come under North Sydney or maybe Chatswood . When I exchanged some family info with relatives I was surprised to note they had my Grandfather's death as Gosford whereas I remember only too clearly that he died in my family home at Lane Cove, Sydney. They had taken his death place from the Probate index and as his daughter was the Exec. and she lived at Gosford this was probably registered there. I have been researching a WILLIAMSON family that has a couple of Central Coast roots I am pretty sure one of their sons was Arthur Smith WILLIAMSON who d 6 Oct 1969, Casino I checked the NSW Probate indexes and this fellow left a will and I was surprise to find his residential address was at Evans Head Is Casino the name of the registration area ? Hi I am wondering if there is anybody who is a regular visitor to the Old Coffs Harbour Cemetery, who has access to a Digital Camera & would be willing to photograph two headstones and send me the photos via an email. I am after photos of two headstones in the Methodist Section the graves are William Secomb Row A Plot 28 who died on 20 Sept 1936 and his wife Matilda Secomb Row A Plot 29 who died on 6 Oct 1937 Matilda was my Grandmother's sister. I have tried to contact the Coffs Harbour Historical Society a couple of times but have had no reply Thanks Cass
