Dear MargM, It is probable that a death from Evans Head would be registered at Casino. Casino and Evans Head are associated in many ways including the same local government area. Hi Lyn Its a persons place of residence that is in the NSW Probate index , not place of death This is what caused my query as in the Probate index it has Evans Head as place of residence , in the BDMs his death registered at Casino . I wondered why it wasnt Lismore but apparently Casino is the rego area name If someone died at Lane Cove their death would come under North Sydney or maybe Chatswood . Gosford is a completely different area Bye MargM Beautiful Central Coast of NSW
When I exchanged some family info with relatives I was surprised to note they had my Grandfather's death as Gosford whereas I remember only too clearly that he died in my family home at Lane Cove, Sydney. They had taken his death place from the Probate index and as his daughter was the Exec. and she lived at Gosford this was probably registered there. Thanks Bye MargM Member of Central Coast Family History Society Gosford NSW
