Does anyone out there know of any families of Foo/Phoo settling around the Casino or Grafton area? I believe it was later changed to Few. Jennie Rediger [email protected]
I would like to say a big thank you to everybody who has been helping me to find the graves of our Rediger/Hansen/Simpson/Simmonds families in Coffs Harbour and Grafton. I visited the Cemeteries earlier this week, and with the help of both the Grafton and Coffs Councils was able to locate all graves. You can imagine how excited I was. Thank you again to everybody on this list. If I can help anybody any time in the New England area, please ask. Jennie Rediger [email protected]

Glenda, Do you have the pioneers' cemetery at North Tumbulgum?I have afew general views and a few headstones, but only those from my family. It is a lovely peaceful place and lots of history. It has been restored but seems many headstones are missing. Apologies for cross posting! Hi All, Thought I'd repost my interests and also details of our upcoming reunion. My name is Kylie Anderson-Hoschke and I am researching the descendants of Donald Anderson and Margaret Dunbar, I've included a few details below. Donald and Margaret Anderson and their children Ann (14), Samuel (12), John (8), Catherine (6) and Margaret (3) arrived in Sydney aboard the ship 'Asia' on the 10th May 1839. Donald was the son of a labourer named Alexander Anderson and his mother was Catherine McKay, daughter of Donald McKay. Donald and Margaret had been married at Croy and Dalcross, Inverness, Scotland on the 13th January 1826. The Anderson family spent a year in Sydney and their last child a daughter, Mary McIntyre was born there. They then moved to the South Coast area, and later in the late 1800's and early 1900's many of their descendants travelled to the north coast of NSW. Ann married Michael Carberry. After being widowed, Ann later married Allen McLEAN in 1857 at Kiama, NSW. Samuel married Elizabeth Timbs. John married Barbara Sutter. Catherine married Henry Timbs. Margaret passed away at a young age. Mary McIntyre married Levi Raison. If any of this sounds familiar to you, we are having a reunion at Coffs Harbour on the 29th and 30th September 2001. I've included some details below, but please contact me on: [email protected] for further details. Reunion Dinner & Book Launch The Reunion Dinner will be held at the Norm Jordan Pavilion in the Coffs Harbour Showground, Pacific Highway, Coffs Harbour, on Saturday 29th September 2001, commencing at 7pm. Bar available. The book, Chain of Hearts, will be officially launched during the dinner, to be officiated by several guest speakers. Church Service Presbyterian Church, High Street, Coffs Harbour, commencing at 9.45am on Sunday 30th September, 2001. The service will include highlights of the Anderson family involvement in the local Northern Rivers District. Morning Tea & Museum Tour To be held on Sunday 30th September 2001, this will include morning tea at the Coffs Harbour and District Historical Museum, High Street, Coffs Harbour. An extensive display of Anderson family photos and memorabilia will be displayed at the Museum. Anyone with photos, etc. they wish to display, should contact Kylie Anderson-Hoschke on (02) 6651 1497, these will be welcomed gladly. Lunch Lunch will be served Pioneer Park in the grounds of the Museum, and will be catered for by the museum. Cemetery Tour There will also be the opportunity for guided tours of the Coffs Harbour Historical Cemetery (within walking distance from the Museum) during the afternoon of Sunday 30th September. Regards, Kylie :)
Hi all, Is anyone researching BRUNSDON? I have a Sarah Ann BRUNSDON born 1964 Campbelltown. She was the daughter of John BRUNSDON and Jane BAILEY. Sarah married Francis Oughton TAYLOR in 1886 in Leichardt Sydney. I believe there is a connection with Northern NSW - Sarah's brother George BRUNSDON (married Lillian Alfreda FLYNN) was living at Macksville in 1943 at the time of his son, Alva's death in WW2. Sarah and Frank's son, Francis Cecil TAYLOR, served his apprenticeship as a printer's mechanic with an F. BRUNSDON in Wee Waa, before WW1 - at this time the rest of the family were living in Mungindi. My interest is in the TAYLOR family but I have collected some info on the BRUNSDON family that I'm happy to share. Cheers Jan

If anyone has already set up a Cemetery page for a certain place on their website and would like me to link it from mine, please let me know. Saves like two lots of details being done for the one cemetery. It would also be good if visitors to your site could add there kin's burial details as well as this is what it is all about, making the connection. Kind Regards Julie Clift Add your Births, Deaths, Marriages, Burials at: *Tracking Our Family Footsteps through time in Australia http://www.angelfire.com/ns/aust email: [email protected]
I just want to thank everbody for their help with my finding the cemetery listings of Stephen Simmons, Albert Simpson, and Fred Rediger. I don't have a date of death for Fred as yet, just a plot no. etc. I still can't find Aunty Martha!! She was Martha Simmons,(nee Rediger) and I have been told she died in an Uncle's car in Grafton!! So I think she would have been buried in Grafton?? All I know is she is Martha E. Maybe she was buried under whatever the E stood for? What a mystery, any suggestions anybody? Please? Hi All, Add your Births, Deaths, Marriages, Burials at: *Tracking Our Family Footsteps through time in Australia http://www.angelfire.com/ns/aust This site is reaching a broad spectrum of people that are submitting and searching for there kin in Australia. This is a FREE site and I make no money from this whatsoever. It is just something I enjoy doing and something I can give back to all my fellow Genealogists. I have set meta tags and meta description on this site and it has proved successful with visitors finding the site through various search engines. This site has been listed in Genealogy Books and recently in Cora Nums 2001 edition, so it is not only reaching those online but also those offline. The only thing I ask is before submitting information, could you please read the how to guide on the start page. I simply can't sort through GEDCOM files or family group sheets where families are born in all different places. We definately need more data for Tasmania, Northern Territory and Western Australia, so if you have kin born in these places I would love to hear from you. People are still more than welcome to send in for the other states to though :-) Look forward to your support. Kind Regards Julie Clift
