    3. Hi Les Which Hewett are you looking for? What does his/her death cert say? 1837 NSW muster has 17 male and 5 female Hewett/itt entries. No doubt there are probably more in the earlier musters/census. cheers Grahame Thom on 30/10/04 5:42 AM, Les Hewett at ljhewett@ihug.co.nz wrote: > Any assistance appreciated. Maclean is not far from Palmers Island from memory . Palmers Island is one of the many islands on the Clarence near Maclean. 2. Thanks Hazel This makes a nice addition to the the burial transcriptions I have from the Maclean historical society The burials online only appear to have initials for the first names so if any one would like a look up from the the lower Clarence cemetery list transcriptions I have which only go up to about 1996 you can email me at _NSW2480@aol.com_ (mailto:NSW2480@aol.com) for a lookup Rod _NSW2480@aol.com_ (mailto:NSW2480@aol.com) In a message dated 10/27/2004 6:28:10 AM Eastern Standard Time, malford@ozemail.com.au writes: Hi, Scroll down and its a pdf _http://clarence.local-e.nsw.gov.au/files/1068/File/Cemlocation.pdf_ (http://clarence.local-e.nsw.gov.au/files/1068/File/Cemlocation.pdf) Hazel

    3. Hi List, I recently obtained a transcription of my grandfather`s brother`s death on 4th July 1875, hoping to also find out where he is buried. He died on Palmer`s Island - accidentally drowned, age 3 - but all the cert. says is that he was buried 6th July at Maclean. His name was John Frederick SOMMER, son of John Frederick SOMMER and Eliza nee WEBB, the undertaker was Joseph BRATFIELD, and the witnesses were William McRAE and Thomas WRIGHT. Can anyone tell me where he is likely to be buried, please? TIA Carol in Sydney

    3. Hello I am new to this list, I hope it's the right list ;-) I am trying to find some information on: KATIE D MAULSBURY Born 1886 birth registered East Macquarie married 1911 marriage registered Kempsey to Joseph Francis Wedesweiler. Katie's parents names were William & Jannet. I have info from the BDM about her siblings etc. It appears though that Katie just disappeared. She and Joseph had a daughter Eva in 1911 and then in 1918 Joseph married my grandmother. I can't find out what happened to Katie, I can't find a death or a divorce - maybe there wasn't one???? I believe my grandfather was working as a horse breaker at the time, he was not from the area, he was from Rooty Hill NSW. I would just love to know what happened to her. Is anyone out there researching the Maulsbury's / Maulsberry's????? Karen

    3. Hi Beverly, Try http://www.bellingen.com/flyingfoxes/get_to.htm which talks about a small island in the town of Bellingen itself. The only other island I can think of is a small island at Mylestom, near the mouth, but I can't find it on any maps, and I don't know if it has a name. The Kalang River, which shares a mouth with the Bellingen River has several small islands. Sorry I couldn't find anything specific for you.
